WHY CHOOSE HCDC?

At HCDC, our vision is to create a community in which the abilities and attributes of all children are understood and celebrated. We do this by providing assessment and intervention services which are strength focused, centred around the child and evidence based. You can have confidence in our team because: WE ARE MULTIDISCIPLINARY We are a team of five different disciplines, and between us our expertise is comprehensive.  WE ARE EXPERIENCED All of our clinicians have significant experience working across both NHS and private sectors. WE ARE LOCAL We are based in Inverness and the majority of our clinicians have significant experience working locally. This means that we understand the unique landscape of our nearby health and education services. WE ARE FAMILY FOCUSED Our goal is to get to know you and your child. We meet every family one to one, face to face.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SERVICE I NEED?

We understand that if you have a concern about your child's development, it can be extremely stressful and confusing. You do not need to know which assessment or intervention service your child needs before you get in touch with us. The beginning of every journey in HCDC is a Consultation Appointment with one of our clinicians, which includes a full report and recommendations for any assessment or intervention.

WILL THE NHS AGREE WITH THE OUTCOME
OF MY ASSESSMENT WITH HCDC?

The NHS is not able to endorse specific independent companies. However, at HCDC we follow assessment guidelines set out by the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) and Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) to ensure we are at the forefront of best practice. Unlike many other independent companies, we will always meet you and your child face to face, provide an assessment which is multidisciplinary, and use standardised assessment tools alongside expert clinical skills. For these reasons you can have confidence that our assessments are Gold Standard and in line with national guidelines.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LIVE FAR AWAY FROM YOUR CLINIC?

At HCDC our aim is to provide an accessible service to all in the North of Scotland, including those who live further afield than Inverness. If you live in a rural area, or aren't sure whether we may be able to travel to you, please get in touch with us to discuss your specific requirements.
